Problem

Work calls and recordings contain useful information, but extracting audio, creating transcripts, reviewing results, identifying tasks, and organizing artifacts often requires repetitive work across disconnected tools. Unclear processing states and limited error information make that workflow harder to trust.

Solution

Actaforge provides a local workspace for creating and tracking transcription jobs, selecting local models, reviewing logs, and organizing generated outputs. The product is designed to grow into broader structured text-processing workflows without presenting those planned systems as complete.

My Role

As Creator and Product Owner, I combine product ownership, production planning, workflow design, and technical implementation while keeping the product aligned with a practical local-first direction.

  • Defined the product concept, scope, and structure.
  • Prepared requirements, milestones, and implementation tasks.
  • Designed the core user workflow and product experience.
  • Coordinated implementation and used AI-assisted development tools to build, validate, and iterate on the application.

Current Status

In Development

The local transcription workflow, model controls, job visibility, logs, and artifact previews are usable now. Persistent workspace capabilities and broader automation remain under active development.
